Books left on the library table

January 11, 2011 Leave a comment

This isn’t quite a weekly update (which I am not technically behind on, since I have only been reading one very thin book this whole time), it’s the books that I had to weed through whilst still at the library, so that I could fit on the bus to get home.

Delaying the Real World. Colleen Kinder
100 Bullshit Jobs …And How to Get Them. Stanley Bing
Small Places: In Search of a Vanishing America. Thomas H. Rawls
English is Broken Here. Coco Fusco
The Kindness of Strangers: Penniless Across America. Mike McIntyre
The Greedy Bastard Tour: A Comedy Tour of America. Eric Idle
Yellow: Race in America Beyond Black and White. Frank H. Wu. I can’t tell you how many times I have picked this book up only to have it not make the cut. Some day…

I took:
The Secret History of MI6: 1909-1949. Keith Jeffery
Riding Rockets: The Outrageous Tales of a Space Stuttle Astronaut. Astronaut Mike Mullane (Like Astronaut Mike Dexter?) (Via Packing for Mars)
Country of Exiles: The Destruction of Place in American Life. William Leech
A cluttered table in the BPL
I always think it’s interesting to see the themes. Today I stuck almost entirely to E169, along with a couple books skimmed from the corners of other tables.
